Dr Mu Guo

Dr Mu Guo has a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney and is currently the Deputy Director of China Event Working Committee, and Specially Appointed Event Expert of the Ministry of Commerce. Dr Guo is also a professor of more than ten universities in China. Since 1989, he has been engaged in foreign trade and cultural exchanges, and has organized, planned and participated in more than 900 exhibitions at home and abroad, involving more than 100 countries.

 

He is familiar with the operation and planning of all kinds of events at home and abroad, and is especially knowledgeable about event economics. He has published more than three million words of event papers, edited and published more than four million words and more than twenty event monographs. In 2001, he was the first to set up a event education program in China and has served as the director of the professional development committee since then. Dr Guo was also the first to publish a monograph on urban event economy in China (China Event Economy Yiwu Model), as well as the first professor to open a series of lectures on event economy for municipal government officials of various cities in China.

 

Dr Guo has been honored as one of "China's top ten theoretical figures of event industry", one of "China's top ten outstanding figures of event economy", received a "China's Top 10 Industry Contribution Award", has been recognised as "China's Top 10 News Figures of Exhibition", and is one the important Figures in China's 40 Years of Influence on event Industry, and has great influence in domestic and overseas economic and trade circles.
