Join the IAES international community

IAES welcomes membership applications from established events researchers, students and early-career researchers, and universities or research institutions.

Membership categories

Applicants can choose Individual Membership, Student Membership or Institutional Membership. The application asks about your role, institution or organisation, country and interests in events studies so that IAES can understand the community it serves.

How applications work

Applications are submitted online and reviewed by the IAES board. You will receive confirmation that your application has been received, followed by an email once the review is complete or if further information is needed.

There is no payment at the application stage. Membership begins after board approval.
