IAES board member Dr Mingguang Liu organises international events education summit

IAES board member Dr Mingguang Liu organised the 2023 International Events Education Summit Forum and the 13th China Zhejiang Events Planning and Creativity Competition in Hangzhou, China.

The combined event created an international platform for discussion about events education while giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their planning and creative skills.

As part of the programme, IAES Chair Dr James Kennell was invited to deliver a keynote address to participants in Hangzhou. Dr Kennell thanked Dr Liu for the invitation and for bringing together the summit and competition.

Dr Liu’s work in organising the event helped to strengthen connections between events educators, researchers and students in China and internationally. This kind of exchange is central to IAES’s commitment to developing a genuinely international events-studies community.
